Her little heartbeat

I am 26 weeks now and I have been reading that you are able to hear the heartbeat if you use a stethoscope. Since Jeremy has been in paramedic school he has a stethoscope. We have been using it ever since I was 16 weeks just trying to hear a our baby's heartbeat. But no such luck. Last night, Jeremy grabbed his stethoscope and placed it on my belly and moved it a few times and FINALLY, he found it! It was so awesome! He counted the beats and it totaled to 140. It was so exciting. I told Jeremy that it feels good to find something like this on your own without our doctor's help.
I will have that stethoscope next to me whenever I want to hear Mazie.

Saying Goodbye

On Friday, Jeremy and I went down to our friend Amber and Josh's house for there son Marley's 2nd birthday and also saying goodbye to Josh. Josh was promoted and his family are moving to Sparks, Nevada. Because Amber is 27 weeks pregnant (just 1 1/2 weeks before me!!!) she is staying in Utah till she has her little girl and then she and her 2 babies are heading to Nevada. We wish them the best!!! Jeremy and Josh have been friends since there early 20's. They were roommates in Huntington Beach, CA. They are truly close friends. Here are some cute photo's from the party:

"Triston" now 5! He's getting so big!
"Marley" 2 year old birthday boy.
"Talitha" and the new Bernston addition "Abrea" 5 months old. Cutest baby ever! She just smiles the entire time. And I love her cute pony tail.

I wish I would have took more photo's of everyone. But it was nice to just relax, talk and enjoy a cold soda (which I never drink, but it tastes so yummy during summer season)

Creating a Handcrafted Piece for Mazie

Jeremy and I decided to make a cute decorative piece for Mazie's room. He is working on the 1st portion and I will finish the 2nd. Here is a sneak peak:

Talking to Mazie

When Mazie kicks, I start to talk to her. I usually will say "Good Morning and Good Night" to her. Whenever I am laying on the couch and she starts kicking, I tell her that "Mommy, Daddy and God loves you". Loney always freaks out right when I say it. He runs to me and puts his chin on my belly and just stays there for a minute or so. I know he is only a dog but I feel he senses something is about to change to the 3 of us. I doubt he knows it's a baby, but the day we had put up Mazie's pack n play, he just watched from a distance and he looked a little nervous. All I know is I will give him as much love as I give Mazie. I can't wait to see Mazie and Loney interact with each other. Loney is such a caring and loveable dog. I really do feel they will be best friends!

Floating on the Lake

Jeremy and I took a ride on his canoe Tuesday evening after I got off of work.
It was windy and cold, but once the sun started to go down the wind died down too. So I took some photo's while being lazy on the boat and Jeremy sat back catching fish. It was relaxing just listening to the soft waves on the lake.

Movie Month "Blue Valentine"

Finally watched "Blue Valentine" and Wow this movie was sad and very real.
Ryan Gosling's character "Dean" was so compassionate and so in love with his wife Michelle Williams "Cindy" it was heartbreaking. Watching the scenes on how they met were romantic and sweet, but the scenes showing them married and in normal "working class life" was very depressing. Cindy was repetitive around the house while Dean was just happy and spontaneous. The scenes with Dean and his daughter were so sweet, he cared about her so much and you could tell they were somewhat best friends.
During the movie I could see why Cindy was fed up with her husband Dean because of his drinking, but she seemed so lifeless and not wanting to try to help him. My heart went out to Dean because he was so in love with his wife and his family, but yet she fell out of love with him, and why? He did everything for her.
This movie made me appreciate my husband and what he has given me. Just love :)

The Sun Came Out to Play

Jeremy and I went for a drive on Sunday across Utah Lake. We took Loney and just hung out and enjoyed the damp but "not to cold" weather. Took some great photo's of Loney hanging out with nature, it's his favorite thing to do. Oh, and I slid down a slippery hill landing hard on my butt and hurting my hand, I freaked out thinking Mazie might have been hurt but Jeremy was there, of course to ease my worries. But I ended up hurting the palm of my hand and causing a bloody scrape. Yuck.... I need to remember I am top heavy now with this growing belly.

Kristin
