Sounds in the Wall

Are you ready to hear a funny story?

2 nights ago, Jeremy and I drove to meet our realtor at a house that Jeremy put an offer on earlier that morning.
He really wanted me to see the house to make sure I liked it.
We get to the house and look around.
I won't go into much detail on the house, but to sum it up "I'm in love"!
The house is huge and has so much character to it, I also need to mention, it has a little room above the garage that would be PERFECT for a craft room!
Anyways, while we looked around the house, Jeremy was carrying around the car seat with Mazie sleeping inside.
While we explored the house, room after room, our last stop was the basement.
We explored down their for a few minutes trying to find the washer and dryer hookups.
It was pretty creepy down their. The basement was not finished and it was really cold.
There was an old mattress in one of the rooms with a pillow on it.
Scary!
Before we headed up the stairs we checked out the storage room.
It was dark and cold in their.
While all 4 of us looked around, Jeremy instantly stopped moving and said "Do you hear that"?
We all stood quietly trying to listen.
I then heard a sound coming from inside the walls.
At first it sounded like someone was moaning.
My heart started to race.
We all stood there staring at each other with concerned looks on our faces.
The sound got even louder.
Then, the sound started to echo.
Jeremy said in a frantic tone "It's a dog. There's a dog stuck in the walls".
WHAT!
I then started to laugh.
Jeremy, my realtor and her husband stared at me.
I said "It's Mazie. She's snoring!
Sure enough, it was our little daughter dreaming and snoring, making the sounds of what we all thought was a dog stuck in the basement walls.

I hope you laughed. We all sure did!

Happy Birthday Loney!

Today is Loney's birthday. He is 3 years old (21) in dog years.
We decided to buy him a new bed for his birthday.
It's such a nice comfy pillow bed and he HATES it.
The reason why he hates it is because
1.... it's not in our room
2.... it's behind the couch, so he can't see us
3.... it's on the dreaded tile, which he despises. See this post!
It's funny to see him lay on the bed. He acts like he's in a life saving boat and the tile is the ocean.
It's pretty funny. We are trying to get him to get over his OCD issue with the tile.

Kristin

"The Tile is Not Going to Kill You"

Here is a very funny video of my dog Loney.
I just got home from my 36 week doctor's appointment. I let Loney out of his kennel but for some reason he would not leave the kennel.
He goes through really weird phases in his doggie life.
He used to have OCD when it came to eating his food (too long of a story, I will write another post about that)
Now he has a phobia of the tile floor. He realizes that he slides on it and he can't control his body sliding.
He is a black labrador who weighs about 85 lbs and in the video he acts like a puppy but he will be 3 years old in September. He is no puppy but he sure acts like one.
So basically the video is of Loney trying to get out of his cage but he keeps hesitating and whining.
He was making me laugh so hard.
I even said in the video "The tile is not going to kill you".
I think he heard my words and finally ran out with all of his might.
I am glad I caught this funny moment on my camera phone.

Kristin

Talking to Mazie

When Mazie kicks, I start to talk to her. I usually will say "Good Morning and Good Night" to her. Whenever I am laying on the couch and she starts kicking, I tell her that "Mommy, Daddy and God loves you". Loney always freaks out right when I say it. He runs to me and puts his chin on my belly and just stays there for a minute or so. I know he is only a dog but I feel he senses something is about to change to the 3 of us. I doubt he knows it's a baby, but the day we had put up Mazie's pack n play, he just watched from a distance and he looked a little nervous. All I know is I will give him as much love as I give Mazie. I can't wait to see Mazie and Loney interact with each other. Loney is such a caring and loveable dog. I really do feel they will be best friends!

Loney

If the weather is nice outside and Jeremy is home from work before me. Loney will usually sit in the grass and chew on his toys or bones. When I pull into the driveway from a long day at work, he is always the 1st one to greet me "hello" after not seeing each other all day. He's my best friend :)

Here is Loney standing next to my car while I open my door.

Spring Time.... Is that you?

18 Weeks Pregnant!
Alot of people are telling me I look so small, which is really nice, but I feel HUGE! hahaha!
I haven't been eating as much as I was in the 1st trimester, but I still crave food all the time. After my paronia scare on Tuesday, the baby has been kicking away and kicking hard. It is so awesome! And just last night, I was reading my chapter in "What to expect when expecting" and there was a page on "Why is my baby making movements for a few days and then the movements stop". Ugh! I wish I would have read this part before I freaked out. Makes me feel so much better.
Today at work, they were giving free 20 minute massages. They brought in professional massage therapists. I have never had a massage before so I decided to get one. It was the most relaxing 20 minutes. The massage was so nice! I can't wait to get another one when I get the pregnancy back aches.
You know it's Spring time when......
Your dog sits outside all day and does not want to come back inside the house.
Loney loves the Spring time as much as we do. We are just hoping the weather stays nice and no more snow.

Loney's favorite spot

Kristin
