Canyon Walk

Jeremy, Loney and I took a nice little hike up PG Canyon Saturday morning.
The weather was perfect.

My belly is measuring at 39' and Mazie is still kicking my right side, probably my liver and it hurts.
My leg cramps have diminished a little because Jeremy rubs my legs. He is so sweet.
Only 2 more days till I leave for California, very excited to see some family and friends.

Kristin

Happy Father's Day to My Love (Late Post)

Jeremy had his 1st Father's Day! We went out to dinner at Rodizio's and then to the movies and watched "Super 8" Saturday night.
Then on Sunday, I gave him a sweet and funny card and also a gift for him (but really for Mazie) a 12 month old Dodger sweater. He loved it!
All in all, it was a relaxing weekend with rainy weather all day Sunday, so we mostly just stayed in and hung out.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
Love,
Kristin, Mazie and Loney

The Big Kahuna

Yes! You are looking at the biggest shaved ice ever! It's called the Big Kahuna and No! I did not finish this beast. But it was fun trying.
28 weeks pregnant
Here's Loney waiting for some shaved ice to fall on the ground.
We walked to the shaved ice hut from the house. It was a nice walk in the evening.

My Husband "The Firefighter"

Here is the story.
Jeremy started Fire Academy back in January 2010. After 4 months of fire drills, studying, boot camp, running and more studying, he graduated April 2010. I am so proud of him.
He then told me he wanted to get into the Paramedic Academy. A lot of fire stations in Utah recommend Paramedic schooling in order to get hired on to a station.
He tested and got into Paramedic School!
He started August 2010. After 8 months of extreme studying, clinicals, more studying and a lot more clinicals, he graduated April 2011.
He interviewed with a few fire departments in Utah and one fire department in Oregon.
The night he flew into Portland, Oregon he missed a call from Provo. So after sleeping in a rental car all night in a church parking lot in McMinnville, Oregon, he woke up quick and called Provo to find out they offered him the job! He was so ex static, he told me he was shaking. He still went through the testing with McMinnville, but he was not able to finish his physical test because he had to catch his plane back to Utah. But I know he did not care because he got the job with Provo. I picked him up from the airport Monday night on June 6th and we celebrated by going to dinner at the Mayan and hanging out with friends at Nunn Park after.
I am so proud of him and I know he is proud of himself too.
Jeremy deserves this and prayer goes along way. Thank you to everyone who prayed for us.
(Jeremy in his Paramedic/Firefighter uniform, I love how Loney is just hanging out in the background)

A Banana a Day, Keeps the Leg Cramps Away

Hmmmm. Could this be true?
"Eating lots of potassium is supposed to help from your joints cramping".
This is what my mom used to tell me.
I used to get really bad growing pain cramps in my legs when I was younger. It was so bad, I remember sitting in a wheelchair on the playground during a Christmas party in my 2nd grade class and my mom was trying her best to stop me from crying and screaming because my legs would lock up all the time, and it would always start in the kneecap. I can still remember the pain. It was horrible. Now that I'm older and pregnant, I've been getting charlie horses (cramps) in my calves for 2 weeks straight now. So I went back to eating some potassium to hopefully stop the cramping.
So far, so good. I've gone 3 nights without cramps. Hope this works. I'm enjoying the sleep I've been getting for the past 3 nights. Hope it continues to get better before little Mazie comes.

8 More Days till I go to California to visit family and friends and have my baby shower!!!!

Bike Ride to the Fair

After I got off of work on Friday, Jeremy and I rode our bikes to the Pleasant Grove "Strawberry Days" fair. We've lived in PG for 2 1/2 years and I have been wanting to go to this fair and finally we did.
We walked around and played some carnival games. Jeremy won me a pink plush fishy to add to Mazie's stuffed animal collection. We ate Hawaiian BBQ and had cotton candy and funnel cake. It was such a beautiful and sunny day, riding my bike was nice but a little to much for being 27 weeks pregnant. I probably wont do that again. I realized how much a miss riding my bike.

Spur of the Moment

Jeremy and I have been looking at homes for sale recently. We feel it is time to take that big leap and buy a home, now that Jeremy has a steady income job and little Mazie will be here in about 2 1/2 months!
We found a home located in Lindon, UT, it's about 5 minutes from where we are renting now. We viewed the home and fell in love with it. The house was sitting on half an acre and was zoned for farm animals. Now, I was never raised on or near a farm but I love animals and all I could think of was owning a few ducks, and a fox. Jeremy laughed at me. Anyways, we loved the house so much, it encouraged us to see how much we would be approved for a loan. We set up a meeting with a loan processor and we were approved for a substantial amount. We were so excited, we went to the owner and gave them an offer. To our surprise, the home had a few more offers on it. So we had to put our thinking caps on and try to bring a final offer to the owner, he called us last night and told us we were out bid. It was kind of sad because I really could see us in that specific home. But I know God is watching over us and he will lead us in the right path, I believe this home was not for us. I think this home came into our lives at this moment to make us not afraid and finally get a loan, which we did. So now, it's house hunting time and I know God will be on this journey with us.

Baby News: Mazie is moving all the time, last night was very uncomfortable, I started to get lower back pain and I just could not find a comfortable position. The leg cramps are getting worse! I have them everynight and my lower legs are so sore by morning, it's hard to walk. I can feel the knotts in my legs. Oi!

I swear, I will make these jeans fit...one...last...TIME!

I finally drove my pregnant butt to the mall with my sister in law on Sunday and bought some maternity pants. My normal pants still fit me perfectly, but they will not button. Thank goodness for the Belly Band. It saved my wardrobe life! But anyways, the pants I got were from Motherhood and a perfect fit. I am so in love with them and feel like I'm wearing a normal wardrobe that's intact and not unbuttoned and unfastened waiting to fall down to my ankles due to my beast of a belly. My belly is seriously growing by the day now. Absolutely amazing. It is finally getting the "real, hard belly look to it".

4th of July came early this year

I am now starting my 27 weeks and Mazie moves around like a pack of fireworks exploding in my belly.
It's not just one kick after another, it's constant BOOM! BAM! It makes me laugh and sometimes startles me when she gets me in the ribs. It's not very comfortable at night when I am getting ready to go to bed. Mazie also likes to hang out on my right side punching and jabbing my inner organs.
Good bye 26 weeks.

Kristin

Spring Rush

Jeremy and I took a drive up to Nunns Park to meet some friends Tuesday evening. It was gorgeous. I love it their. We hung out with some good friends and ate roasted marshmallows and walked to Bridal Veil Falls.
This was a good day for Jeremy and I because he had found out that morning he got the Firefighter/Paramedic job with Provo Fire Department. I am so happy and proud of him!
I will have a post soon about his new job. In the meantime, enjoy some beautiful photo's I took of our evening at Nunns Park in Provo Utah.
I love these moutains during Spring time.

Creating a Handcrafted Piece for Mazie.....Part Two

Jeremy and I finished the 1st shelf for Mazie's little corner. The shelf was my idea with her initials and feather image burnt into the wood and Jeremy created this beautiful piece! I am so amazed. He is great on creating wood creations. I spray painted this shelf a pinkish champagne glittery gloss color. That's all I did though. I wish I could draw, but I knew that was the job for Jeremy. And he drew this amazing feather. All we need to do is paint the 2nd shelf and her shelf's will be complete. Our next thing is a dresser/cabinet. Jeremy decided he wanted to make one. So I said YES!
I am shopping around for some pretty light pink and purple feathers to create display boxes to hang in her corner. I have the cutest idea to make her little corner "hers".
Love,
Kristin
