Tummy Time

At first, Mazie would scream her head off if we put her on her tummy.
She has now grown to like it.
She lifts her head up so high.
It's so cute and fun to watch her.
Here's a little video, click on the link below.
Enjoy!

Is there a doctor in the house?

No, I am not a doctor or playing dress up.
I got strep throat!!!
Noooooooo!!!!!
Just a few day's before Christmas!
My throat started to feel scratchy Monday night.
During the night I could barely sleep.
My body was achy and my throat was feeling worse, I could barely swallow.
I went to Urgent Care on Tuesday.
The nurses made me wear this mask while I was in the waiting room.
I felt like I was really contagious. Well I guess I really was.
Everyone kept staring at me, I just wanted to say "It's just strep throat, everyone gets it"!
Well the doctor sent me home with a prescription and told me I should start to feel better in a few days.
My husband laughed at me when I came home wearing the mask.
My daughter was laughing at me too!
Surprisingly, she still recognizes me.
The doctor told me it's very unlikely for a 3 month old to get Strep throat.
But I want to be as careful as possible until my antibiotics kick in.

Everyone, take your Airborne!

Kristin

3 Months Old Today!

Mazie swinging and smiling at her sheep friends

Sleeping in her crib for the 1st time

Talitha and Mazie

Mazie being a stinker

We tried propping a blanket underneath her belly to help push the gas out easier.
She just fell right to sleep.

She is so fun.

Mazie showing off her chunk that she has put on in the past month.
She's so happy.
She makes us happy!

2 months have come and gone.
You are now 3 months as of today.
You are growing so fast!

During your 2 months:
* You are still on a feeding schedule and eat about 27 oz of formula a day.
* You are sleeping through the night, but you have some restless nights too.
* You drool a lot more, is a tooth going to show up soon?
* You like to take a nap about 30 minutes after each feeding.
* You had your 1st Thanksgiving with Family and Friends
* Mommy started back to work on December 1st.
* You grabbed your binky and put it in your mouth all by yourself!
* Rolled from front to back with help from Daddy.
* You like to lay on your belly. It calms you down.
* Started sleeping the crib. No more bassinet.
* Talks a lot!
* Loves playing with your hanging toys.
* Enjoys singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes with Mommy and Daddy.
* Likes swinging in your swing.
* Notices mommy and daddy's voices and faces.
* Cries after awhile when being held by other people.
* Sabra started babysitting you on December 9th.
* When you are around kids, you love to watch them run around and play.
* Talitha and Tristan said that they love you and love holding you!
* Smiles when you see yourself in the mirror.
* You still love your baths and love being naked.
We are so excited for your 3 month adventure.
You will be taking your first road trip!

Talkie Talkie

Wow, this little girl is a talker.
If she talks this much now, how much is she going to talk when she's 13?!
Telling us about school, friends, boys! Ahhhh!
I am going to enjoy her babbling right now.

It's the cutest thing. I usually leave for work around 6:45 in the morning and I get home around 4:30 in the afternoon. Right when I walk through the door, Mazie see's me and lights up. Her face is all smiles.
When I hold her and ask how her day was... she goes crazy!
She talks and talks and talks for a good 10 to 15 minutes.
She's almost 3 months and her talking is all high pitched babbling, but seriously, it's the cutest thing in the world!
She's telling me all about her day's with Daddy and Loney.
I love every second of it.

Love,
Kristin

Proud

I have been eating good and working out for the past 6 weeks.
Have I seen some change? Kind of.
But when I step on the scale.
I am so PROUD of myself.
6 weeks ago I made a goal.
My goal was to be at 145 by 12/13/2011.
What am I today?
142!!!!
I've lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks!
What!
I am so happy and proud!
I couldn't have done it without my husbands encouragement.
We are both eating good and working out.
I also couldn't have done it without MyFitnessPal.
I suggest you check it out. Great site.

So what is my next goal?
135 pounds by January 16th.

I just have to be very good during the Christmas Holiday.
Ekkkkk!

I can do it!

Kristin

The Zombie Survival Kit

Remember my funny "Christmas Gift" post from a few days ago that I was really excited to share.
Well here it is!
My sister in law Shannon really likes Apocalypse/Disease/Virus/End of days type of movies.
Almost every movie that pertains to disease, the humans end up turning into ZOMBIES!
That is why I decided to put together a
"Zombie Survival Kit"
for her.
Here is what the kit includes:

Full Kit
* Diet Pepsi (Shannon's favorite beverage)
* Gun with silencer and scope (not real of course, that would be crazy of me)

* Zombie Be Gone Repellent
* Stop Trying to Eat Me Gel
(it's really hand bacterial gels and I made the labels myself )

* Mini Flashlight (batteries included)

*Hammer

*Zombie Survival Tips (I found these online, they are from the movie Zombieland)

Kit is ready to be used for when those Zombies do rise from the dead.

I laughed while putting this kit together.
I know Shannon will get a kick out of it too.
I also put in a little Cheesecake Factory gift card in the box.
She will need to use that before the Zombies rise.

Anyone who wants to make a fun kit like this, it was pretty cheap and lot's of fun putting it together.

Kristin

Sounds in the Wall

Are you ready to hear a funny story?

2 nights ago, Jeremy and I drove to meet our realtor at a house that Jeremy put an offer on earlier that morning.
He really wanted me to see the house to make sure I liked it.
We get to the house and look around.
I won't go into much detail on the house, but to sum it up "I'm in love"!
The house is huge and has so much character to it, I also need to mention, it has a little room above the garage that would be PERFECT for a craft room!
Anyways, while we looked around the house, Jeremy was carrying around the car seat with Mazie sleeping inside.
While we explored the house, room after room, our last stop was the basement.
We explored down their for a few minutes trying to find the washer and dryer hookups.
It was pretty creepy down their. The basement was not finished and it was really cold.
There was an old mattress in one of the rooms with a pillow on it.
Scary!
Before we headed up the stairs we checked out the storage room.
It was dark and cold in their.
While all 4 of us looked around, Jeremy instantly stopped moving and said "Do you hear that"?
We all stood quietly trying to listen.
I then heard a sound coming from inside the walls.
At first it sounded like someone was moaning.
My heart started to race.
We all stood there staring at each other with concerned looks on our faces.
The sound got even louder.
Then, the sound started to echo.
Jeremy said in a frantic tone "It's a dog. There's a dog stuck in the walls".
WHAT!
I then started to laugh.
Jeremy, my realtor and her husband stared at me.
I said "It's Mazie. She's snoring!
Sure enough, it was our little daughter dreaming and snoring, making the sounds of what we all thought was a dog stuck in the basement walls.

I hope you laughed. We all sure did!

The 1st Day Back

I started back to work on Thursday December 1st.
It was my 1st day back from maternity leave for 3 and a half months.
It was fun to see all of my work friends and catch up on things.
I start to miss Mazie around 3:00 p.m. which is a good thing because I get off of work at around 5:00 p.m.

In other news, Jeremy and I put an offer on a house in PG that was sitting on half of an acre and had a cool little white shed in the backyard and a HUGE living room. We put the offer a few weeks before Mazie was born. We found out a few days ago that the homeowners decided to stay in the house.
Ugh... really?
We waited 2 months to get that news. Not good. But, I know God has another house in store for us.
We just need to be patient for a little bit longer.

Kristin

Toys, Toys, TOYS!

Mazie is starting to love her toys.
I have fun watching her grab at them and then lay there and analyze them for a minute.

Here's a video of Mazie playing on her fish mat and grabbing at her toys.
She was having so much fun, Loney wanted to join in with her.

Love,
Kristin
