The Sun Came Out to Play

Jeremy and I went for a drive on Sunday across Utah Lake. We took Loney and just hung out and enjoyed the damp but "not to cold" weather. Took some great photo's of Loney hanging out with nature, it's his favorite thing to do. Oh, and I slid down a slippery hill landing hard on my butt and hurting my hand, I freaked out thinking Mazie might have been hurt but Jeremy was there, of course to ease my worries. But I ended up hurting the palm of my hand and causing a bloody scrape. Yuck.... I need to remember I am top heavy now with this growing belly.

Look at that belly button!

Check out my belly button! It is starting to pop out more and more each day.
Pretty funny!
Saying good bye to 24 weeks and Helllllllooooooo to 25! 4 more weeks till I go to California for my baby shower, I can't wait! I finally wore my 1st pair of maternity pants, they are a little baggy around my legs. I hate that. I love tight, form fitting pants. I am needing to go maternity shopping soon.
Also, I am searching high and low for a cute, old fashioned dresser for Mazie's little corner of the room. I hope to find a decent one for a great price.

Loney

If the weather is nice outside and Jeremy is home from work before me. Loney will usually sit in the grass and chew on his toys or bones. When I pull into the driveway from a long day at work, he is always the 1st one to greet me "hello" after not seeing each other all day. He's my best friend :)

Here is Loney standing next to my car while I open my door.

Drink Me...

Today was my Gestational Diabetes test. I had been staring at the bottle of red liquid sitting in our refrigerator for 4 weeks now reading the directions not once, not twice but about 50 times before the day of testing. So this morning I opened the bottle and starting drinking. Hmmmm...not to bad. It taste's a little like watered down fruit punch. Took some more gulps and Yuck! This stuff leaves a sugar grainy taste in my mouth. Jeremy was laughing while I was drinking. He told me it was all in my head (which I completely agree with him on that) Just knowing something like this came from the Doctors Office made me think instantly that it was medicine. I chugged the remaining liquid and gagged. Oh Goodness, sometimes I can be a little bit of a baby. Hahaha! The nurse drew some blood (not one of my favorite things) and then we heard Mazie's strong, fast and healthy heartbeat. We are so excited!!! We have our last 4 week appointment in June and then we are going every 2 weeks :) I swear, I hype myself up for every appointment, I get so excited to see or hear Mazie and then it ends in 10 minutes and then I have to wait another 4 weeks. I can't wait till the 2 week appointments start.

Welcome to the Jungle

On Saturday, Jeremy and I went to our friends Mark and Sabra's daughter Talitha's Dance Recital.
She was so cute in her little zebra dance dress and her hair looked so pretty. She did such a great job on her dance to "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns and Roses. Here are a few photo's I took of her before her dance:

Jeremy has been working all weekend on his canoe pontoons. He's been sanding them, glazing them, sanding them and glazing them again. He actually started painting them today and they are finally finished. They look AWESOME! This is his 2nd set of pontoons that he has made and they are more durable for his canoe. I know he can't wait to go fishing this summer before Mazie arrives.

23 Weeks... and my hair sucks!

I am moving from 23 weeks to 24 weeks today.
So far I love being pregnant. I love feeling Mazie move and kick. I love seeing my belly grow every week. The only thing that is not working in my favor is my HAIR! My hair is normally very thick and wavy, since being pregnant, my hair has gotten even thicker and more frizzy then wavy. When I wash my hair, it's so thick it's hard to get my fingers through it. Saturday was the worst hair day. I washed it three times because it kept getting frizzy when I would let it dry. I was getting so frustrated, I was so close to making the decision of cutting all of my hair off. But then I came back to reality and told myself that "hopefully" my hair will go back to normal after I have Mazie.

Cravings this Week

Lots of sweets and fruit this week.

Strawberry Shortcake
"Oh wow! Jeremy's strawberry shortcake is the best!"
My favorite part is the Cool Whip. I can eat the entire container.

I have been craving French Toast Sticks for a few weeks now. I finally got some this morning and it was all worth it. Mazie is happy.
Red Grapes! Mmmmmm, a perfect snack.
My friend Sabra told me awhile ago to put a vine of grapes in a baggie and place in the freezer for a few hours. Then you take them out and they are like little grape popsicles. They get really cold and frozen and it's so refreshing, I will be eating these all summer. Can't wait till Summer!
