35 Weeks!

35 Weeks is now behind us.
Again.. sorry for the late post.
During my 35 weeks I experienced feeling constantly hungry again, I easily get dizzy if I stand or sit to long, I am still having sleepless nights, my belly feels like it's getting lower and heavier and my hips are sore.

Jeremy also started his 1st fire/paramedic shift last week. I am so proud of him. He works a full 48 hour shift and then he's off for 4 days. We are now thinking of idea's for a side job he can start doing. We would love to open up our own business, but what?
Well we have some idea's. But we want to brainstorm a little bit longer.

Our house search has kind of come to a halt. We would love to get a house right now, but I told Jeremy I am in my nesting phase and Mazie's little corner is all ready and if I had to take it all down and move I would be devastated and stressed.
I don't want to spend my 6 weeks at home with Mazie worrying about unpacking.
I just want to spend my 6 weeks with Mazie laying on my chest and getting to know her.

Love,
Kristin

34 Weeks and Counting!

This post is a little late. I have been so tired lately to take my 34 week photo.
3rd Trimester is really kicking my behind big time.
My maternity pants are ripping, my ankles are swollen, lack of sleep, the bathroom is my 2nd home and my leg cramps have come back.
Yay for 3rd trimester. Ha!
On the good side, I have 2 more days of work till Maternity Leave! Yes!
I am so excited to just rest. I am looking forward to this.
I had my 34 week appointment last week and this is how tired, forgetful and pretty much feeling "just out of it".
Every appointment they want a specimen sample (a.k.a. pee test)
I am always good at giving them what they want.
Well not this time around.
I went to the bathroom to do my business.
As I was washing my hands, I'm starring at the Dixie cups sitting on the counter for the "pee".
I started to laugh!
I forgot to pee in the cup. (Seriously Kristin!)
I was in La La Land for sure.
My body is so used to me going to the bathroom about 20 times a day and not using a cup.
I tried again to go to the bathroom but nothing (figures)
I contemplated on telling the nurse the truth.
So when I walked out of the bathroom, I threw my hands up and said "Sorry, nothing came out".
The nurse smiled and said "It's okay, it happens all the time".
As she walked me to my check up room she says "usually women forget to use the cup while they do their business, that really bugs us".
AHHHHH! Thank goodness I did not tell her the truth, who knows what she would have done.
Ha!
I know better now.

Kristin

Mazie's Corner is Complete!

Yes! I am finally done with Mazie's little space.
I feel much better that things are set up and ready.
Let's take a "short" tour.

Mazie's embroidered scrape, scrape blankie from her Auntie Danielle

Antique bird cage covered in decorative plant berries.

I bought this cute plain photo frame and added the 3 feathers to represent our new family :)
Below it is a jar from my friend Kathryn. It's called a "Feather Jar" and it's for Mazie to collect different feather's throughout her childhood.
Mazie also has 2 bunny friends from both her Grandma's awaiting her arrival.
Here are the shelves Jeremy made. Sitting on them are cute feather and berry jars I made and also a little friend waiting for her arrival.

My Belly Book (Jeremy gave it to me as a wedding gift last year) I have been working on it every week to document photo's and pregnancy experiences I have been going through.
Some more friends waiting for Mazie to hurry and get here.
* A little story about the green dragon off to the right. If you know Disney movies (my sister in laws) ha!
This is Elliot from "Pete's Dragon". I've had him since I was about 3 years old. He was my favorite stuffed animal and my mom told me I took him everywhere. I remember combing his hair and talking to him all the time. His hands used to be connected by some string. I remember cutting the string to let his arms drop to the side and be free. I did it because I wanted him to hug me and hold his hand.
It's amazing that I still have him and I can pass him on to my little girl.
I hope she will cherish and love him as much as I did.

Mazie's comfy bassinet and blankie.

The best part of the room is her dresser/closet. Jeremy and I found this beat up dresser for sale online and bought it for $60. He then fixed the broken edges, fixed the trim, sanded and stained the dresser. It looks brand new. Jeremy loves us! And he loves fixing and making things out of wood.

We can't wait to see a little baby in that pack n play waking us up in the middle of the night, pooping her diaper and smiling at us every morning.

Love,
Kristin

p.s. Her little dresser/closet is now pouring out with clothes, hair bows, blankets, cloths, bibs and shoes. Thanks to all of my friends and family supporting us with wonderful gifts for Mazie. Also, thanks to my mom for bringing everything from California to Utah for us this past weekend. We made it work!

My Poor Feet

Yes, you are looking at 2 feet. And they are attached to the same body.
Ugh...

Upcoming Movies

I am waiting in anticipation for these movies to come to theatre or be released soon. I want to see them so bad. I love, love, love movies, especially independent films. I find more of a realistic story and more creativity in these types of movies. A lot of movies that go to theatre these days are action type flicks. I love when a movie can keep me guessing, leave me speechless or make me think of the film weeks, months or years still thinking about it. I can't wait to go to Sundance Film Festival for 2012. I'm only 45 minutes from Park City. Most of the films below were at Sundance for 2011. I'm sad I didn't go this year. Mazie will definently need a babysitter for a few days. But I don't think she will mind.
Check them out on IMDB for their story lines.

It's time to UPGRADE!

Doesn't every family need to upgrade their car when a baby is due to arrive any day?
Well I know Jeremy and I are definitely ready for an upgrade.
My Pontiac Sunfire is just not suitable for a baby, car seat, stroller and groceries.
When I think of taking road trips in my Pontiac with a family, it makes me feel suffocated.
There would be no way of fitting 2 people, a baby and a dog.
Jeremy and I are looking to get a bigger car with more ROOM!
We are sick of feeling cramped up in a little car.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Sunfire. I've had it since I was 19 and I am now 26.
I've gone on long road trips with friends and several nature photo shoots with this car and it definitely holds many memories.
So trading it in was sad but a relief.
We really thought we would get at least a $1000.00 to trade it in. But ended up getting $2,500.00!
Pretty awesome!
We bought a 2008 used Honda Pilot.
We love it!
There's so much room for us, Mazie, Loney and a future baby.
YAY! I'm not to fond on paying another car payment. It's been nice having a paid off car for 2 years.
But, it had to happen some time.
Love,
Kristin

These Dreams Part 2

Lately I've been dreaming of juice.....
In my dreams, all I see is a big glass of apple juice and then I drink it and it refills back up magically and then I drink it again. And it keeps going and going. By the time I wake up from my dream, whether it be the middle of the night or morning, I have to either go to the bathroom or go grab some water or juice.
It's so weird but funny when you think about it.

Kristin

33 Weeks & a Birthday!

I'm a little behind on posting my week to week photo.
During my 33 weeks I experienced pelvis cramping (does not feel good) and just being really tired.
My birthday was on Tuesday July 26th. I turned 26! I can't believe how fast time is flying by.
I feel like in the blink of an eye Mazie will be 5 years old. Oh jeez, let's not rush things now. ha!
Jeremy took me out to Olive Garden for dinner. It was super yummy. He also surprised me with a new mini touch screen IPOD! YAY! My other IPOD that I've had for about 4 1/2 years finally bit the dust. I used it to much. I can't help it. I love music.
Right now I am obsessed with M83 "We Own the Sky" and "Midnight City". I keep listening to it over and over.
I am starting to feel pretty busy lately.
My mom is coming out to visit this Friday and she's staying the whole weekend. She will be bringing all of Mazie's baby shower gifts so we can get ready for her. I am excited to see my mom!
I have 8 more days of work left until I go on Maternity Leave, I am so excited!
Jeremy and I are also looking for a bigger car and hope to get one in the next week or so.
And my Utah Baby Shower is on August 13th at the Cheesecake Factory. I invited a handful of friends and I'm excited to have a nice, calming summer lunch with them.
Busy, Busy, Busy!

Kristin

Not feeling it today...

I woke up this morning and decided to get a yummy Iced Mocha from McDonald's to treat myself. I never drink coffee anymore since finding out their was a baby brewing instead. I love coffee and I miss drinking it. It is now 4 hours into the day after drinking my little mocha and I feel SICK! I can feel Mazie constantly moving all over my belly and she's been going for the past 2 hours non stop. I just feel sick. No more caffeine for this little one and I.

Love,
Kristin
